New York Rangers fans who are depressed about their team getting iced in the playoffs can soak their sorrows at new hot spot Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs. They might even catch a glimpse of star players—and co-owners—Henrik Lundqvist and Sean Avery (pictured) while they’re downing a cold one.
The aptly named Tiny’s, at 135 West Broadway, opens for dinner this week. Mr. Avery, usually seen wielding a hockey stick, has lately been spotted clearing tables. “Some Swedish guys on vacation were shocked when I filled their water glasses,” said the Rangers forward, who now has time to hang around his joint every day. “I’m doing everything I can—except my chef doesn’t want me in the kitchen.”
